What should the Conservative Party do about the European Union?

What should be its approach to the Lisbon Treaty - should it seek to overturn it by via a post-ratification referendum, or should it go for a more fundamental renegotiation? If the latter, what should the objectives of a renegotiation be, and how should a new Conservative government go about achieving its aims - not least in bringing the "colleagues" to the negotiating table?

A long post on these and related issues will follow today has been published and your observations on the comments section would be welcome.
